YAY
Finally out of the 170's. I was 169.4 this morning. I know its not much below 170 but I am still excited to see 170's in the past. I have been very slack with working out and have not been eating the best so my weight loss has really slowed down. I am hoping to get back in the gym 3 times a week starting this week or next. And the past couple days I have been eating better then I had which is helping me lose a little. So hopefully I can get back on track!!

Finally!!!
I have been stuck at 172.8 and sometimes higher for a few weeks now. It was getting very frustrating not seeing that number go down no matter what I did! Well I finally broke that number. This morning was 171.2!!! I know its not much but to me it's a lot!!! :)

A new Challenge
I am not now nor have I ever been a runner. But after coming across a 5k run coming up April 30th, I thought to myself, that would be a great challenge for myself. I obviously have never done a 5k, but I am going to attempt this one. I have about 8 1/2 weeks to prepare myself for this challenge. I was told about a program called "Couch to 5k". It is designed to take a couch potato and make them into someone who can run 3 miles (5k) at the end of 9 weeks.
So my challenge began today. I did week 1/day 1 which consisted of a brisk 5 minute warm up walk. Then you alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 mins then a 5 minute cool down walk. And WOW... I didn't think I was going to make it. My legs felt like they would just collapse from under me. But I pushed myself and completed it. I hope it gets easier as I go. So 3 days a week I will do my runs and I hope by April 30th I will be good and ready for the 5k!! :) I will keep you posted!
This is the link to the 5K if anyone is interested!

Makes me feel great
Lately I have had so many people compliment me on my weight loss so far. Even though I still have a long way to go it helps keep me motivated to know that people can tell. It brings my confidence up a little bit each time. So thank you to all of those who have complimented me and those who are supportive of me doing this. It means a lot!
